I know what you’re thinking. It’s not that long since you started the other one, and you’d be right.
But…
Long, boring story.
When I first published a book way back in Dec 2015, I cheerily signed up for web hosting and a domain for a website that I never used. Because you know, authors have websites.
Fast forward to this year when I started concentrating more on writing. I couldn’t even access the old website because I couldn’t remember the password. Not a problem I thought. I’ll start a WordPress one.
You need a domain. Oh hang on, I think I’ve got one of those. Manages to remember the old one. Uses that.
You need hosting. Do I have that? What’s that account I had? I’ll try that.
To cut a long story short, it became so I couldn’t post anything new on the website, and that was before the hosting expired so I still don’t know what was going on there. I’d toyed with trying to get the old one up and running for a while but I’m not that tech savvy and there wasn’t that much on it anyway so I finally decided it wasn’t worth it.
Anyway, fresh start. Fresh domain and fresh hosting. And this time I’ll keep a track of dates and passwords so it won’t happen again.
